Formuler boxes authorise by MAC address rather than username, which trips up a lot of people. This guide covers registration, portal setup and the EPG — on MyTVOnline 2 and 3.
Formuler boxes are registered by MAC. Find it under Settings → System → About, or printed on the sticker underneath the box. Send it to support before you start — the portal will not authorise until the MAC is on your line.
Launch MyTVOnline (version 2 or 3 depending on your firmware). Press the menu or gear button and choose Settings → Portal Settings. On MyTVOnline 3 this sits under Manage Portals.
Choose Add Portal. Give it a name — Blerd Vision is fine, it is only a label — and paste the portal URL from your activation email into the address field. Include the protocol and any port number exactly as written.
Save the portal and return to the main screen. MyTVOnline contacts the server, checks your MAC and downloads the channel list. First load takes one to three minutes.
Under Settings → EPG, set the guide to update automatically and trigger a manual refresh. The full seven-day guide is several megabytes, so give it a couple of minutes on the first run.
Press the favourite key on channels you watch regularly. In Settings → Channel Management you can hide entire country groups, which makes the guide far quicker to navigate on a remote.
Formuler boxes usually sit beside the router. Plug them in — the Wi-Fi module is the weakest part of the hardware and Ethernet removes most buffering complaints outright.
Under player settings, a buffer of two to four seconds smooths out network jitter without making channel changes feel sluggish.
Set video output to your TV's native resolution and refresh rate. Leaving a 1080p television on an auto 4K output causes stutter that looks like a stream problem.
Almost always the MAC address. Confirm the MAC you sent matches the one under Settings → System → About exactly, character for character — people frequently send the Wi-Fi MAC when the box is on Ethernet, and the two are different. Re-send the correct one and we will re-register in a couple of minutes.
MyTVOnline 3 ships on newer Formuler models and has a redesigned interface with faster EPG handling and a better VOD browser. Both work identically with Blerd Vision — only the menu paths differ slightly, and the guide above notes where.
Yes. MyTVOnline accepts an M3U playlist as well, and that route skips MAC registration entirely. The portal method usually gives a better EPG and VOD experience on Formuler hardware, which is why we recommend it first.
Force an EPG refresh under Settings → EPG and wait. If it is still empty after five minutes, the box may have cached a failed download — reboot it fully (pull the power, not standby) and let it retry.
